i think i have a short in my power wire going to my cluster. i swapped in a gsr cluster and the only things that work are battery light, turn signals and brights. anyone know how to tell if it really is a short? and if it is, how do i fix it?

what lights are you talking bout? the gauge lights come on when i turn my headlights on. the battery light comes on when i start. turn signals and brights work. everything else doesnt??

 

i would just go over all the wiring of what doesnt work w/ a test light

 

put the test light on the end of each pin?

 

ill try that tomorrow, if that doesnt work... then what? buy a new harness?

 

alright, i tested with a test light, only things gettin power are spots 7 and 11 in the 16 pin harness. thats trunk open light and power. nothing is gettin power in the 13 pin harness.... what now?
