*another Block Guard question?*
TURBO vs ALL MOTOR?
I searched and found a bunch of post on this topic. I didnt really see any information on using a block guard on a all motor setup. i was wondering if it would be a good or bad idea to use a block guard with wiseco pistons 11.8 comp 84.5mm bore w/skunk2 stage2 cams would this slow my motor down and would it help at all on all motor setup better then it would on a turbo setup??
My motors a b20 w/ a b16 head.........

I'ts certainly not going to hurt anything or slow the motor down...it's just a way of reinforcing the cylinders. Just make sure you install it properly which means you should install the block guard and then have the cylinders bored to fit the pistons afterwards.
i did a customers car like what your asking about.
b20 bottom end...welded in block guard,weisco pistons,eagle rods....and some s/s ferrea valves.we are spraying 300
on the gsr plate system @1200 bottle pressure...we have ran about 40 bottles thru it so far and still going strong.we spray 2 bottles every fri. at the local track.
