I was cruising around tonight and was getting on it in first and my hand was a little slow and going into 2nd it bounced but then i depressed the clutch again and it went into gear. I pulled up to the next light and the light turns green so I push in the clutch and go to put it into first and it feels like its almost "mushy," not near as notchy like it should be. I dont know when the tranny fluid was changed last, I've had the car for 15k miles so I think I'm a little behind. Maybe thats the problem but I don't know thats why I'm posting. First gear is the only problem the rest are great. Someone PLEASE diagnose my problem.
what's the mileage, and also, is this the stock clutch?
And finally, what is u'r driving style... comfortable launches, aggressive launches, etc...?

First of 255.255....i didnt make the thread to get bashed im just looking for assistance, but moving on yes its the stock clutch, the car has 53k miles and overall im a pretty conservative driver, i hardly ever launch the car. it was just a mis shift from first to second and now first gear is acting up
I'm assuming it kicked out of second because it was half way in. Sounds like a shaft in the tranny could be bent, or the sleeve that engages the 1 and 2 gears may have got damaged, you probably are going to have to take it apart and check it out. I would try changing the tranny fluid first. It still could be the clutch or input shaft not being lubed properly. good luck to you
