hey guys

my mom has a 92 civic LX automatic. it keeps throwing code 16 (fuel injection) and code 41 (o2 sensor heater circuit) for no reason. i replaced the o2 sensor with a new one and swapped out the injectors for a good known set and the codes still pop up. ECU goes into limp mode and the light stayes on.

i followed the helms manual in trying to diagnose the problem and the next step is to replace the ECU to a known good one and retest.

anyway i have sitting here a OBD1 P75 out of my 95 integra LS non-VTEC with manual transmission. can i use this ECU in the civic or does the civic ECU have the transmission control module built into it?

any help from the civic ECU gurus would be appreciated.

the auto/manual part does matter for long term functionality but may work to check out the areas of problems, I don't know if it will work though the O2 is wired backwards on some OBD1 teg ECUs.
If you were closer I have a 94 P06 sitting here that is an auto.

 

i always thought the ECU pin outs were exatly the same for civics/integra hence all the simple engine swaps etc....

i just want to know if running a manual ECU in the auto car will affect the way the tranny shifts.....
