Strange problem occured after installation of free flow filter (please advice me)
Today i removed the stock airfilter box and installed an open air filter. The car started and run as usual but after a while it would not idle and it would not rew past 3000rpm.After a while it suddenly gets normal again.I can then drive a while before the problem reoccurs.Of some reason the last owner had replaced the stock connector on the airmeter with single wire connectors ansd some wire splices, this made me suspicious so i cut the wires and spliced them together with a stock connector i found on a junkyard.
The splices was soldered together and isolated with crimping tubes, this was done after the battery was disconnected.I tougth i had solved the problem but after a while it happens again. This makes me wonder why.
Can anyone tell me whats going on?
Is it nessecary to adjust the airmeter after adding a open air filter? The reason why i ask are because it seems to me that the injection controll system are going into a emergensy mode or something when this happens.
Ps the airmeter are of the hot wire type.

The only hose conected betwin the trottle body and the stock airfilterbox are the crankcase breather hose.
I removed the stock box and mounted the free flow filter directly on the air meter.
Thanx anyways
