Default Hydro axle question

Ok, I searched and searched and searched and was trying to find out which axles I can use on my hydro B series tranny, and for the most part everyone recommends 90-93 I-shaft with 90-93 axles and 90-93 drivers side axle seal.

However, I also found a few people saying that 94+ teg axles and I shaft will work and a few people said that 99-00 si axles and I-shaft will work.

BUT, no one ever mentioned if there was a down side to using the hydro axles. So my question is, what negative effects will there be with using either 94+ teg axles/I-shaft or 99-00 si axles/I-shaft.

I already know 90-93's will work, but why are the hydro axles not ideal? I've seen some people saying they are too long, but then there are people using them with absolutely no problems.

I'd like to use hydro axles b/c 1) parts for newer cars are easier to find, especially 10 years down the road and 2) I'd rather not hunt down an axle seal (even though I know its not hard to change, blah)

Thanks

As long as you match the intermediate shaft with the axles, there should be no problems. As far as reliability is concerned, I don't think either one is any better than the other.
