yeah thats what i was thinking *pressure plate*could it be not installed right ?? or grease on the pressure plate?? , but could it be nethng else before i yank the tranny off .. some one help
When it shoots to the floor does it come back when you shift or drop the RPMs down?
Sounds like you didnt break in correctly or your slave cylinder/master cylinder is fucked.

clutch only stays down when I "open up" to 7-8K and up and when i slow down under 7 k clutch comes back up and what i was told at a local shop I dont need to break in 4 puck -6 puck clutches but dunno imma noob
.. and i dont get it prior to clutch install slave/mastercylinder was working fine which was a couple days ago..

nope i didnt break in , but right after clutch was installed i took the car for a quick spin and did a quick open up to check if everything was working right and thats when it happen to stick comming out of first to second at 7-8 k and after that car was taken home to bleed and took out again after bleed many times and still same thing , got stuck from 1st to second , so i dont really think me not breaking in the clutch is the problem after two slight open ups, so theres probably about a mile on the clutch so far ...
correst me if im wrong on 6 puck and 4 puck disk dont have to be broken in ...
thanks for all the help guys ..

If theres a spring it needs to be broken in, **** even if theres not a spring it needs to be broken in. Its like brakes, they need to be broken in or theyll warp or glaze. Same ****. And yes one time "opening up" depending on what that means is all it takes.
If that shop was me and you brought it back and i asked if you broke it in and you told me that i would just tell you, "your on your own" Nothing they could do for how you drive.

ive done a search on 4-6 puck clutches being broken in and a majority of the people say there's no need for break in .. hmmm .. oh well , im off to take my tranny off to see whats going on ..

I wouldn't doubt you did some damage being only 1 mile on the clutch. I don't know your driving skill, but I will ask how rough you were on the clutch when you were "opening up"? you obviously stomped the gas pedal, but did you stomp the clutch, and drop it when shifting? or did you let out real gentle and let your engine ride the clutch?
I Seriously doubt you knew how to properly engage your clutch with only 1 mile on it. Clutch break in is for both the driver, and the car. =\ good luck to you.

well like i said in ealier posts when going for a drive to see if everything was working properly i did a quick stomp to the gas from 1st to 2nd gear then it got stuck then i went home , i wasnt rough on the clutch at all .. i did a a driving roll and stomped on the gas to 8k and when trying to shift to secend clutch pedal just stayed down , and driving regular clutch works properly
clutch petal stays down?
check all you lines for leaks. get some one to hold the clutch down while you bleed the slave cylinder. sounds to me like a fluid problem (air in the line...).

i bleed the slave/master cylinder many many times, like was said in first post and prior to clutch install which was two days ago and it was in perfect working order ...
is there a proper way to engage a clutch ?? I always thought "press pedal to disengage and let go to engage" .... can you explain the proper procedure to engage a clutch ...
