totaled my 00' si. while car was at towing yard, i tried to pop the hood, but its stuck due to the damage.

i examined the front/engine area the best i could. most of the impact was to the front, but the lower part. radiator and ac are crushed, but it looked like the manifold was still straight.

i'll be able to rip the hood off before the buyback. in the meantime, judging from these pics, do you think the engine will still be ok?

from what i can see, it looks like the engine is still good. My cousin got into a similiar accident and his engine was fine. Just make sure theres no cracks and such on the block and you should be good to go

 

just make sure the block isnt cracked?

what if the exhaust manifold looks a bit out of shape?

that can easily be replaced, but it would take an extremly hard hit to actually **** up the header and the accident doesent look to be that bad to do that. BUT then again thats from what i can see in the pic
