Default Question about Dizzy and OBD-I conversion?

I recently got a 1999 GSR engine put in my Civic. I decided to convert to OBD-1. I was just wondering since I converted to OBD-1 Was the shop suppose to use an OBD-1 Dizzy?

no the dizzy and engine harness stays the same, due to the green ecu plug that controls gauge feedback all that good mess.. the conversion is at the ecu where outputs from obd2 is the pinned to an obd1 the ecu runs fine this way due to the dizzy having the same sensory output ckp, cyl, tdc, rpm all being the same. only diff. is when using a d series obd2 harness on a b series obd2 dizzy, then you are left with one extra wire. in short this is the standard when doing conversions/ easiest hope it helps..

No because its in an obd2 car, so all they have to do is put a jumper harness and ecu in it and your set.

Sorry to bring back an old thread but the other day I was driving and I felt the car bog. I looked up and saw that the CEL was on. I found out it was code 8: TDC which has to do with the distributor. I talked to my mechanic and he said the distribtor needs to be replaced. I have have a new one and its getting replaced. To my question do you think converting to OBD-1 had anything to do with the sensors being messed up?

Ok good. I am still going to convert back to OBD-2 when I get the right ECU so I can pass emissons, its jsut that they did not have the right one when they swapped the engine and they already had the car long enough and I jsut wanted it back but I know I will be able to sell the Skunk2 OBD-1 conversion harness and the OBD-1 P72 ECU.
