car wont go into gear
i made a post awhile ago, thinking i spun a main bearing.. but now my friend comes over, starts my car, it's making a rod knock noise.. but when you push the clutch it.. in goes away, and but when you try to rev it WITH the clutch IN, the noise comes back.. and if you try to get it into gear.. it doesn't want to go into gear, it just grinds.. would that be my clutch that went out? and what parts would i need to replace?
The tranny is a b17 cable tranny by the way.

This is an uninformed wild stab in the dark but maybe you've stripped some teeth?
Is it just 1st gear you cant get in? or is it all gears? Sorry if thats a stupid guess but its an idea.

It's nothing of that sort...it sounds like the plate is cracked, or liek stated above some cracked teeth.
