Default EP3 Headers question...

Recently I've been in the market for a header for my 2003 EP3. I'm really confused on what I should get because I don't know what's the best and there are so many different types and sizes. SO i guess my first question is what's the difference in headers 4-2-1 and 4-1/4-2? And also what seems to be the best headers for those who have already installed them. These headers I'm looking at range from prices from $395-1,099. And I plan on getting the GReddy Stage 1 turbo kit sometime within the year...and I already have the Greddy EVO 2 exhaust on it.

Any information will help...Thanks!

If you're gettting the turbo kit later on in the year you should just hold off on the header IMO. Cause once you get the turbo kit you won't be able to use the header anymore.

That's why i held off on getting a header

Jackson racing header for an EP3 for about $650. Somewhere around gains of 26hp, though not street legal . Because it takes the place of the cat.

in my opinion theres not much flaw in the stock design of the header....no BIG overall gain is gonna be acomplished by replacing it if your just gonna boost it later....my reasons for not buying a header as well...as for the differences....4-2-1 gives your more bottom end gain....4-1 gives your more top end as its less restrictive and reduces back pressure...and 4-2 sounds like a s2000 set up...with dual exaust i've never seen such a set up on our cars

Okay, well thanks for all the helpful information guys...I didn't know that a header is useless in a boosted car, so I guess I'll just hold off on the headers and use the money toward the turbo I'm planning on buying. Thanks again guys!
