Hey guys, i just needed to know how much would a brand new rack and pinion would cost for a 1990 dx hatchback, since mines just gave out, and is it hard to install?

 

just parts just labor or both?
it is a ******* bitch to install i'll asume I've yet to work on a car that it doesn't suck.

When mine goes i'm getting quafies replacement

 

its not that hard to replace..... if i recall its like 4 bolts, 2 nuts and loosening of a c clamp! a lift will make it a lot easier, however.

Whats the ratio of Quafies replacement?

 

dont forget the exhaust and shift linkage you need to remove first.

its actually not so bad. there is a trick to it to get the pinion out of the steering column and then out. but youll figure it out.

I think its 2.4 turns lock-to-lock

 

how do you set the tie rods when replacing the rack pinion on a 1990 honda civic

 

You mean how to install tie rods?
