The b16 gears are a little short depending on where you plan to make power, i'd go with the gsr because its not too short and not to long and it pulls decent, just my .02

gsr. Most get b16 and then get taller tires to prevent slipping so don't make any sense to me?

I run Si/ITR gearing and I love it. 366 whp and no traction issues (not any more than I woul dhave w/ a GSR gearbox) and the highway RPM is fine even on 195/50/15 tires. FWIW my fuel mileage is 100% the same between the ITR and GSR gearing.

What you said makes no sense to me...

You have to look at a lot of things when choosing a tranny, but no matter what you go with... shorter gears will make your car accelerate faster and bigger tires will give you more traction.

i love my gsr trans on my setup, plan on hitting mid 300 to 400 whp

revving at 4000 rpm on the highway at 80mph is my only problem

agreed...but correct me if I'm wrong most turbo set ups do run bigger tires to help out the traction problem. So for those that do and have b16 tranny why not run a gsr tranny instead of a b16?

ultimately unless you run out of 5th gear in the 1/4 mile you should run the shortest transmission as possible, while the b16 n type r trans do this, they also make getting traction that much harder which is where the gsr trans could possibly help,

all b series transmissions first 2 gears are basically the same, its the 3rd 4th and 5th that are longer/shorter

for all out drag a b16 or itr trans is the best option, but for a daily driver and weekend warrior id say the gsr transmission is the best choice
