did u even bother to check ur pulleys, or check ur alternator out to see if its charging ur battery, maybe u just need a new alternator, check that out, and do replace belt and check to see if alernator charging battery.

first off yeah you need to pay attention to the car second how tight are you running that belt? and you cant expect the battery to charge without the alternator working properly or even work at all dude so check that out

who knows maybe ur alternator might be too big and the pull sticking out further out than the crank pulley or it might be to small and in more than the crank pulley or maybe u just need to repostion the alternator by moveing it around in its area

most likely a bearing went out on your alt. It happened to my friends corsica and the bearing had melted and caused it to seize up. when it seized, the belt snapped and that was that.
