Default ITR ? w/ JRSC

I want to know how many of you use the JRSC and what is you boost on it. What do you think of sleeving a motor and thow on a JRSC on a B18c5 and what would be a good compression to run with 10 to 15psi......The car is setup for road racing not 1/4 mile......N/A is not cutting it any more need more TQ.... And how many ITR owners like there JRSC would like to see some comment on why yyou like it and the disavantages also....

Thanks everyone
Bob

You will make good power, however, you would make more with a turbo. I've also heard problems with belts slipping and cooling problems. But sounds like a sweet idea to run 15psi. you'll make 300whp at least!

Just thought I would throw this in:

You won't be able to get any gains past 10psi with a roots type, it runs too hot. It's diminishing returns at that point. There are some kits out there that you can get that will cool the air intake temps, but (In my opinion) the cost to benefit ratio isn't worth it.

Others may tell your differently however.

The guys at LHT are great. John has a turbo R with 500 whp still getting great gas mileage. PM user name Scooter and ask him. LHT get a from me.

That should be part of the membership agreement. Have new users search for something they are interested in and get back to us on it, thus proving they know how to use the feature for future questions.

I have a JRSC running only 5.5lbs... with a proper tune you can produce nice numbers. I like the JRSC for the torque curve... actually the lack of it. I have a constant supply of torque at any rpm. Good luck...

I did do a seach on JRSC's but i wanted to know what a good compression would be for the B18c5 if i should leave the CP @ 10:6:1 or should i lower it....
Did not see that when i was searching.....Yes also im really not a noob because ive been signed up since 04 and only have 100 post i mostly search on here anyways.
But im glad to see that your concerned about what i do in life.

Obviously if you used the search function properly you would have found that most are running the stock CR with no internal mods. As far as your life...yeah you could run off a cliff and all I would be concerned with is another R being gone.

Unless you are going for "super boost" I wouldn't really worry about it. Leave the stock CR and make sure you get it tuned properly. PM user azcheron he might be of assistance to you as he's running the JRSC setup.

This guy tells the truth! Just to help U make a decision here's my stuff. 2K1 R, No-ram intake (filter stuck on T/B) SC ported & polished, B18C5 w/ stock internals, cooler NGK plugs, NGK wires, MSD ignition, Kamikaze header, test pipe, Apex N1 C/B, Hondata S200. In a 95+ degree dyno shop I made 258.3 WHP & 173.5 WTQ on 9-10 PSI of boost. Because of the ported blower the intake temps never went above 147 degrees even after 3 hard pulls. I will eventually go the turbo route but for right now I'm having a blast!!! As far as the boost is concerned I used a 95 GSR crank pulley, Jim's MVM steeper pulley &, the JR 4.0 inch blower pulley. Hope this has helped U out just a bit.
