Default 93 Civic cannot start in hot or humid days

I began to have trouble starting my 93 civic since the beginning of this summer, especially when it is very hot or raining. Sometimes I can only hear a sound like "ta", and nothing else. Sometimes it cranks a little. Sometimes it keeps cranking. Before this sunday I could always start it after trying several times. But since this sunday (when it was very hot), I could not start it any more.

I have just changed the main relay but it does not work. I had the battery tested in Autozone and it said that this was a good battery. Now I really have no idea what is the problem. Hope you guys can give me some hints.

Possibly your main relay? Sometimes my brothers' DA9 will start and than die immediatley afterwards on hot days. We replaced his main relay, and now it starts and stays started everytime.

Actually even when it is cranking, I can only hear the sound of cranking, and nothing else. Should I put my ear close to somewhere to feel certain sound?

I believe if the ignition coil is bad that the car will still start, but it will die as soon as you let go of the key.

Mmmm, now my car does not start at all. But before last sunday it ran well once I started it. So maybe it is not about the coil

I haven't looked at that yet. Could you tell me where should I check whether it has sparks?

Thanks

Take a screwdriver and stick it in one of your plug wires, then rest the metal part of the screwdriver over something metal but dont let it touch, crank the car over and see if you see a spark from the scredriver to the metal. I'm willing to bet you wont.

Yeah, if you don't see any spark it's your dizzy and you'll need to replace it.
