Default LS/VTEC head on a B16?

OK, sorry to sound so n00bish, but what is the reason for putting an LS/VTEC head on a B16? My friend did it and I just don't see the point of it.............

Try the other way around...b16 head on LS bottom end...

Yeah I know that...I was just giving the basics on ls/vtec set up...I know there isnt a such thing as "ls/vtec head"

actually, i knew immediately what he was talking about, cuz a head that has been modified for an ls/vtec conversion could be condsidered as an "ls/vtec head."

I don't think many people looked at it this way. But if this was the case, then an "LS/VTEC head" would not work on a B16 block, cause then the oil supply hole would have been tapped.
