Default Injectors larg eneough?

Please only professional tuners respond. (no offence but I want facts not opinions)

I am working on building a sohc motor. D16. It's punched to 78mm that makes it a 1.72L
I was planning on getting the Hondata s300 and using 72lb injectors. will these injectors be large enough to support around 500 wheel power? I cal always tuen the fuel psi up to like 65psi if needed. Theya re the MSD larger injectors.

Thanks for your time and if posible will you email me as well if you have some good info?

It can be done, its just not very safe for 500 whp @ 65 psi fuel pressure.

Go here to see for yourself. Make sure you adjust for drivetrain loss.

I would go with at least 1000 cc or 100 lb/hr injectors.

my only thought was since it's a D16 it won't flow as much as the B series you guys are accustomed too and that would help offset the size.

Anyone else with ideas? I'm trying to save $ cause I now have to spend the $ to get a newer s300 system over my older 3b due to lack of tuners willing to tune it in my area (not to mention it is a pain when tuning it)

im sure getting 800 or 850 cc would be safer bc u can always go a little bit bigger and reduce the duty cycle which will always perform better since theyre not at full load. plus u can sell urs and probally pick these up at the same price

????

No.

If your BSFC is higher than you would need larger injectors NOT smaller ones.

HP directly relates to amount of FUEL used, just as person before me stated, NOT NECESSARY which series motor/size, 500 HP still takes X amount of FUEL, no matter which motor its on, thats not taking into consideration effieciencies of the motor. aka more fuel to keep from detonating

What are you talking about. You are lucky to have one of the best tuners in the country here in DFW, Tony1. Why dont you look into Neptune? Its $250 plus tuning that is reliable and right.

Oscar use Neptune? Yeah when hell freezes over lol. I don't think he will touch anything unless it has a Hondata or Greddy stamp on it.
