it might actually be from you having TOO much stiffness. that is a very tight setup, so that is what i would lean towards...

I thought my vibration problems were from a diff bearing failure, so after pulling the tranny and seeing that the diff bearings were fine, I figured it was my diff itself. I purchased a low mileage unit and reinstalled it, too bad when I pulled the tranny gears out, they fell all apart and I had to take an hour getting all the gears and sincros and forks back together, lol. The experience was great tho, first tranny work on my part. All went well and when everything was back together, I couldn't get the rear mount bracket bolts back in, matter of fact, the two of the rear mount bolts werent there when I dropped the tranny, one on both sides.

Well, the vibration ended up being my driver's side driveshaft because the inner joint was getting torn up due to the aweful angle the rear mount was allowing to occur on the driveshaft. I replaced the rear mount bolts with new ones and replaced the driver's side driveshaft, and all is well again. No vibration finally. And when I say vibration, I mean when accelerating, the whole car shook vilently, but when maintaining a speed or decelerating, no vibrations at all.
