omg!!!!! i need some help asap with my car its about to piss me off
ok i just put a new timing belt and tensoner i timed it right and every thing ...........and my valves where out and it would not idel and it was smoking a little oil smoke it was not smoking before ok so i got the valves set right and its still doing it the motor runs strong but its kinda missing at low rpm i looked at the timing gears and there not lined up perfect could this be the prob ........it wouldin run strong it the timing was off would it ....or could it be my pvc valve
take off your valve cover , remove the top peice that covers your timing belt.
take a 19 socket and turn your motor counter clock wise till the tdc mark matches with the lower plastic peice and check if your cams are lined up. if not then loosen your tensioner, slide the t-belt off and line the cams up make sure the crank is at tdc then rotate the exhaust cam one tooth, only one tooth counter clock wise then tighten your tensioner. hope this helps
