well like 2 months ago, i had bad synchro problems with my tranny, so i came across a good deal and just replaced the entire tranny. The R was running fine, at the same time i put in a new clutch, and now, its like i cant really raceshift the car anymore for some reason, the car always grinds, no matter wat gear, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and sometimes 5th...i think it might be the clutch, but what could b the problem with it, its like if i shift a gear, i come off the clutch reeal slow to prevent a bad grind, but it still does it, and if i try to shift fast, the gear will go in, but as soon as i come off the clutch it grinds and pops the gear back out, does this sometimes when i am cruising at around 35-40mph just easing gears in too. Let me kno what u think the problem could b? it cant b the tranny because it was checked b4 install and its no way my synchro's could b gone already, the car wasnt abused or anything, just occasional quickshifting but mostly cruising daily. im not sure what kind of fluid is in the car right now, because at the same time the mechanic put in the new tranny+clutch, it was serviced and all fluids etc were changed....so i can find out later today if its really important. really hope i can get rid of this problem soon

Do you still have your old tranny ... time to get it rebuilt!
LOL! reminds me of the 10 speed days.
Dude! You "stripped your gears"!
One question, why do you "race shift"?
Good luck.
