Default Trying to have a nicer sound!

Hey guys,

Its been about 2 month that I took my exhaust off and I am starting to miss it. I liked it when I would just push it and here it get loud but when I would cruise it would be just to fucken annoying. I wanted to buy the Tanabe Super Hyper Medallion exhaust but due to having to change my tires I am a little limited on funds. My exhaust look a little like the N1 but just that the tip is different. I wanted to know if there would be away of making it less noisy with out putting a silencer. I have heard of resonator but I have never saw one or what it looks like and I am not sure if it will work. If someone could explain how it works that would be great.

Dave

Resonator just looks like a "cherry bomb", if you know what that is. It should take a lot of the droning out. Any exhaust shop will have one.

If you don't have a resonator, have one welded onto your midpipe.

Also, if you don't have a catalytic convertor, that could make it very raspy.

If you're not going help attain an answer for the original question, don't post at all. We don't need anymore post ******. Plus, stop making people from Queens look retarded. We don't need that.

Thanks.

For the original poster, yes, get a resonator. That is the only way to make the tone lower and deeper. Most silencers don't do jack, or the one that I have seen. Try one, if you don't like the sound, get a resonator welded in.

Deemeetree is right, most silencers do absolutley nothing. A resonator will give you the tone you're looking for.

Big resonator about 6 inches back from the cat.

Get the longest one possible, the longer the better.

They go after the cat, and it shouldn't be expensive. Maybe get one from Kteller and have a shop weld it in for you.

go on ebay and search for a high flow cat... and all the high flow cats they sell on ebay are just resignators and you can pick one up for i think around 40$ er so and if you know how to weld it should be a real easy job...
