I've seen JDM F23's on eBay but I can't seem to find specs and the people selling them don't know.... anyone have any info on these?

USDM F23a1 blocks lagg in some horsepower...the JDM is a lot more better than the USDM F23a1 block....i say about a 20 hp difference

Doesn't have much to do with the block.... the lack of horsepower is true with all USDM engines due to emissions and other regulations placed on auto manufacturers.

to me it looks the same as a USDM F23. I would think it is the typical USDM vs JDM motor difference of like .1 bump in the cr other than that there probably isnt much of a difference. Most differences that I have seen between usdm and jdm engines are the fact that the jdm engines typically have their timing adjusted for better fuel since there gas is of higher quality than ours is

sweet jesus! 20 hp?? i doubt that very much...i would say that all specs are the same...

im assuming that both blocks are still stamped a1....

 

I would like to know where that guy got his info from....20 HP seems a bit much..as a side note: I've emailed EVERY SINGLE jdm f23 seller I could find (eBay and others)and not one had any info on the hp/torque specs for their engines....how sad is that My boss would fire me if I was as ignorant as some of the sellers out there.

 

i bet there compression is higher than the usdm..

call an impor tslavage yard.

ask tehm how much horsepower a j30a1 has. they will go what the **** are you smoking? cause they dont know r care. they sell the engine to somoene to repalce their broken engine. its up to the buyer to know what they want or need....
