Default traction... I dont have it.

as the topic states... any ideas to help eliminate wheel hop and gain traction?

have urethane motor mounts... thats about it... posted here so I dont get a bunch of civic's telling me to buy traction bars (which will be out in a few more months I hope).

thinking a front lower tie bar, strut bar, adjustable struts, drag radials, etc.? what you all think?

car has only eibachs and urethane motor mounts thus far.

205/50/15 toyo proxies... pretty hard tire I know...

btw I cut some nasty 2.5 and 2.6 60 ft times... hence my delima.. it just lights the tire like a candle through the first coupe gears (3rd kinda grabs). tried modulating the gas and whatnot, but once I hit boost it is impossible to hook.

Try some 225or205/50-15 BFG Drag Radials, best 250 bucks you'll spend.......If it's a daily driver I recommend getting an extra 2 wheels to use with them, not fun using them on a daily driven car.

Bfg drag radials will help alot. One thing i noticed not being metioned, LSD do you have it? If not that should be HIGH on the priority list.

rad racing: do you think that a 225 tire will fit on a stock 15" ex rim... my 205's seem big... definately getting some drag radials in the near future.

boostedh23accord: stock suspension besides the springs and motor mounts.

freaker: no limited slip... I reeally should look into one though now that you mention it.

Just check out jegs.com or summitracing.com, should tell you what sizes 225s will fit. If that doesn't work make em fit or try 205s they will for sure, obviously.

Freaker is right, LSD works wonders. Quaifes are nice, of course pricy, unless you come across a nice M2B4 tranny

i reckon a good set of shocks will help as well. Interesting that you have wheel hop, i've never had any despite using hard tyres and stock motor mounts (also dont have any traction in 1st and into second on 10psi). I have always used aftermarket shocks though (Koni coilovers over the past year, Tanabe coilovers at the moment)

Strut brace didnt seem to make much difference traction wise

I would for sure invest in some struts or maybe some coilovers

yeah I am thinking the struts are weak... they have been punished for a good bit of mileage and held up till now so I cannot complain.

koni's or kybs will be going on the growing list of things to do...

I heard the Mickey Thompson ET street Radials are very good if you have a wide enough rim. I think the smallest they have is 235/60/15, but from what i heard they hook better than BF and definitely better than the nitto 555R's and DOT approved!

Sticker tires help alot. I have stock suspension & mounts, and I would get wheel hop on the stock rubber. I still have stock suspension & mounts, but with sticker tires, the wheel hop is gone. Before you spend big money, I'd try nicer rubber first.

With all the tq our boosted motors put down low in the rpm's, on fwd platforms, I think that better launch control will work more than other options previously mentioned, IMO of course.

I believe that is the H tranny with the OE LSD.
I'd go with new tires and an LSD together. I have a quaife and I still get bad wheel hop on my 18's with yoko paradas. Still waiting on my TE's

have you tried dropping your air pressure at the track? last time i was at the track i was having some really bad wheel hop issues since im running a T25 which gives me full boost in 1st. i dropped my air pressure down to about 20psi on my kumho 712's. launched around 3500-3700 rpm slipping the clutch on the launch and only got a little bit of spin but no wheel hop at all..

im running on stock motor mounts (have a poly front one sitting in my backseat) but have aftermarket shocks w/ sprint springs.

you could try shaving if you're not streeting the tires, you could get some wider wheels for more contact patch, definitely a LSD, and definitely a better coilover or suspension setup. Omni makes an accord setup for under 700 and I think they can do custom spring rates.

droped tire pressure at the track last time to like 22 psi in front.

I also heard good things about the et streets but they are hard to find the proper sizing to fit on my rim... I think I am going to try that bfg gforce t/a drag radial. heard good things about them as well.

did some looking around and just pricing a good diff makes my pocket book hurt... but I sooo need one.

you need better tires.
225 are too wide for your stock wheels.
215 is about as high as you can go and even then the contact patch is not great.
