Default B16 block, gsr head how do you do it?

I have an obd 0 b16 block. I might be able go get a b18c head. how hard would it be to install?

specifically would it bolt up to a b16 block using b16 arp head studs?
can i use a stock b16 hg?

can my obd 0 pr3 ecu with hondata control the IM or would i need a skunk2 GSR im?

i had a similiar combo earlier this year. b16 block, GSR head..ctr cams and pistons...S2 manifold...amde 195 hp.

You decide what head studs to use by the BLOCK not the HEAD.

you have a b16 block you use b16 head studs...

b16 and gsr hg's are the same..

the only way you can control iabs is either swap to obd1 and use a transformed p75 or p72.
If not you can just wire up a rpm activated switch for them

could i buy an aftermarket IM made for a GSR that elimnates the butterflys?

also i can remove the Stock butterflys from a stock gsr IM?


i already have a b16 headgasket, can anyone confirm that it will work with a gsr head?


anything else i need to take into consideration?

i would think about leaving the secondaries working; they work good with the low displacement of the b16; it helps mid/low torque.

dont leave the butterflies open unless you want to loose power.

yes you could buy an aftermarket IM, but youll spend $ and loose power over the gsr IM with mild mods
