I'd use them if I didn't have to sleeve my block. There are some merits (reading other tech mags) of a contoured piston top, but if it works is totally above my head. If I still had my GSR, those would have been my pistons of choice, just because they're different....

As for the weisco brand, they've been around a while, domestics know...

you can ask JRSC questions here but you might get flamed since most of us are turbo junkies.

Its not really worth it for two reasons. It doesnt make a really massive power gains for the dollar. I n the long run if you save up and go turbo you will be way better off.

A stock GSR at 7psi will easily put down 240hp
A stock LS at 9psi will easily put down 230hp

While if you compare a JRSC in thesam situations its way less and more prone to detonation.

dude did you pick them up yet? All I can say is try them out for yourself. We do use it in our race car, and I have many customers who have bought them from me and not one complaint about them. They will hold up!

I have used them in two cars now. Low piston slap, and they definately do work. Figure even if the RW effect is a placebo (which I've seen it work with my own two eyes), the piston quality itself is very good, and they come already deburred, saving you from having to do it yourself or a machine shop to do it. I'm going to use them in my setup. I would use them in every application. I'm no bandwagon jumper, but they do work. My .02

Wiseco are very popular pistons up North where I am and are gaining some good press in the import scene, Wiseco is always well represented at all the shows up here and are always willing to help design a new custom piston with choice of Al alloy, they also market Je/Srp stuff so you cant go wrong giving them a call, their wait time is usually very short and they will tell you if the product will be late. should I ever need a new set I will give wiseco a try in 84mm.

Coincidentally, I decided to shop Wiseco just last night for my build up..
I had a long discussion with a great domestic shop owner and as you may or may not know, Wiseco has been around for a while and is considered one of the top piston producers... they are used in domestic draggers and 7-8 second stangs !

Little known fact... Wiseco is fairly recently, a subsidiary of JE...

Why don't we get a GB on these things ? Anyone have a good website to buy 'em BTW ? I need pricing info !

They are actually fixed price since the RW design is supposedly Larrys creattion. THe price is 487 for the pistons and 78 bucks for the rings.
