wus up everybody , i gotta quick question i tried searchin but didn't have much luck, anyways, i gotta 95 eg8 4 dr DX, and i was lookin into gettin a D15B swap for this car in the next couple of weeks , what my question is, if i get the whole swap engine , tranny and ecu, i'm gonna get a new clutch whenever i get the engine, now: if i get a civic ex clutch will it interchange with the D15B clutch and or will my DX racing clutch interchange with the D15B clutch? any help is greatly appreciated and like i said i searched for it and don't post bs like use the search button

 

yea it in the same and if you dont want to spen the extra money you could also reuse you org tranny you got now

 

yea there interchangable and u can use ur dx tranny. i got a d15b swap in my eg with a dx tranny and its pretty damn quick i ran with a ls eg i/e/h/wires and he barly pulled from me in high 3rd

 

as long as its d series you wont have any problems

 

Thanks for the help guys, I have to get another tranny cuz mine grinds and has long *** gears. Also, will d15b pass emissions with the stock dx cat.

not sure if dx has the same manifold/cat setup as a cx or not, but if so you're screwed. you're going to need an extension to make the cat reach the exhaust system. I would try to get a header or oem manifold and ex/si cat. you will pass emissions though, assuming you don't have any other problems

ohh i forgot to as this, does d15b tranny has the same gears as ex/si , or does it have longer gears cuz i want the tranny with the shortest gears

 

I dunno, never driven an ex/si. my trans does seem a little long I guess, but anything's better than the stock cx trans

 

did you get the whole swap Spydir or just the engine and used some other tranny ?

and yes, ex/si tranny is the same

yea, I got the whole swap. I'd rather not share who I bought it from, but I would def. get your swap from hmotorsonline.
