If you're using an FMU you need to use stock injectors. You are running very rich with those 450's and you could flood your motor or wash your rings. You're also supposed to be using an inline pump cause they work best with FMU's.

Yes you can as long as you find some way to control the injectors. I saw you looking at the Hondata thread. You can either get the Hondata stage whatever. Or if you have an OBD 0 ECU you can use turboedit. If you have an OBD 1 ECU you can use Crome or Uberdata, or pay a little more money for the Hondata S200 system.

Your friends setup was probably running a little rich, but not to the point where the car would bog at all RPM's. An FMU only raises fuel pressure while you are in boost. So if you were to be running stock injectors with an FMU then under vacuum and idle it would run fine. The turbo's not making any boost so it's as if your car was NA. But as the boost pressure goes up the FMU raises the fuel pressure and forces more fuel out of the stock injectors.

If you get rid of the FMU then you need to find some way to lower the amount of fuel coming out of your 450's at idle, cruising and while in boost. You need to either keep the FMU and switch to stock injectors and get an inline pump. Or you need to ditch the FMU and switch to Hondata, Crome, Uberdata, Neptune or some other form of EMS.

If you mean just stock injectors and stock ECU then no. If you mean stock injectors and an FMU then yes. However he has a Walbro intank fuel pump. And those aren't meant to be run at the high pressures you see when running an FMU.

OK, put stock injectors back in, and it seems to be running fine. still not idleing all that well but that should be improved once the exhaust is back on and there is a little backpressure. righ?
