whats the deal with turboing and auto? how do they last.

yeap. a whole thread dedicated to that question.

They last a good while......if the transmission is built and the car is not a honda. Honda auto's are the worst. The tranny could never hold the power. Just do an auto to manual like I am and then boost the **** out of the y8.

ya i am boosting my z6, my friend had a crx with a y8 mostly stock with a 16g turbo running 6 lbs of boost and killed alot of V8's but my nabor has a y8 running 20 lbs.

are you going to build that automatic transmission?

if you are:

an automatic transmission will ALWAYS be quicker than any manual. NOBODY can shift faster than a computer. something to think about if you plan to take it far with that transmission

LOL, if it can't hold the power it won't shift faster. Also as far as I know all the autos are 4 speed, which means the gears aren't as close. Get a manual.

In most cases I would agree, as well as being more consistant, but I've yet to see a built auto for a Civic that was anything even remotely close to a built stock auto transmission.
