Default slopy shifting?

I just got a 93 eg hatch dx model with a 1.5 liter, motor it runs great, but when i downshift it feels like the linkage isn't tight or the tyranny is grinding, but the second i hit the gas it's fine, almost like it's not going into the gear. It's fine the second i hit the gas or change gears with the throttle even open 1 bit, no grind no sloppy shift-in. when i downshift without hitting the gas it like rattles and almost grinds, but it doesn't do it in neutral?

anyone have any idea, i just bough the car would some MTF ma-by help me out, i went under the car and tighten the shift linkage? ma-by get new bushing?

i had the same problem casue my shift linkage was held in by a bolt instead of a roll pin. replaced that(5 bux from honda) and used some ES bushings and now it feels great. deff check the fluid if it hasnt been changed in a while.
