Question about maintenance for a loooong drive
In another 6 weeks im going to be making the move from Massachusetts to Florida its like an 1100 mile long ride ive got a 95 LS with 112,05X miles on it, new radiator new rotors new pads new rear calipers fronts still look an perform like new so im holding off on those, just bought new ignition wires...
Anyways im wondering whats a few other things if any i should look to replace before making the long journey.... obviously before i leave im going to top off fluids and change my oil an air filter.
The car is just dropped with some decent coilovers im going be buying new struts next week, and the stock airbox has been removed. no mods really so the car is stock it runs beautifully shifts like a new car i just want to be on the safe side

basic stuff like oil, tranny fluid, coolant levels etc. and you should be fine. I make the drive from NC to NH about 4 times a year, takes about 17 hrs.
My cuz would make the trip from Harvard, MA to Gainesville, FL all the time in College in his 95 GSR and never had a problem.

You will be fine. The biggest thing is to make sure your cooling system and tires are in good shape. Also make sure your belts aren't fraying on you.
Some things I brought with me on my trip from FL to WA:
- quart of oil
- gallon of distilled water
- brake fluid
- tire gauge
- spare wheel/tire (inflated to specs)
- extra bulbs
- extra fuses
- electrical tape
- duct tape
Actually, I always keep this stuff in my car for emergencies.
