Is anyone running pully kits these days?
I've been looking at picking up all 3 pullies after a local guy claims he picked up
11 whp from this combo. Sounds good, but I was looking for some H-T input......

i really dont think u can easily pick up 11whp on pulley itself. I think aftermarket pulley is just there to put less stress on the motor the fact that they are bigger and lighter. i maybe wrong too
I would do the acessory pullys, but i wouldnt mess with the crank damper. Honda put in on their for a reason. The only thing i would do with the stock damper is switch to a fluidamper. The aftermarket underdrive pullys are not to good on your crank. But it depends on your exact engine, some people have used them for years with no problems.
theres lots of debating on crank pully's...Especially the CTR..
I personally think that its just a coincidence on bearing failure and oil pump wear with the ctr pully , and realy its just a bad build..

I have an UR UltraSS underdrive pulley set and I think it's great. The engine rev's more free and a lot quicker. There is the fore mentioned but it's all heresey.
"People are getting their Crank Pulleys confused with the harmonic dampers found on some V6 / V8 engines. "Harmonic Balancer" is a term that is used loosely in the automotive industry. Technically, this type of device does not exist. The "balancer" part comes from engines that are externally balanced and have a counterweight cast into the damper, hence the merging of the two terms. The Pulleys on most of the new import and smaller domestic engines have an elastomer (rubber ring) incorporated into the Pulley that looks similar to a harmonic damper. The elastomer in the OEM Pulley serves as an isolator, which is there to suppress natural vibration and noise from the engine itself, the A/C compressor, P/S pump, and alternator. This is what the manufacturers call NVH (Noise Vibration & Harshness) when referring to noticeable noise and vibration in the passenger compartment. It is important to note that in these applications, this elastomer is somewhat inadequate in size, as well as life span, to act as an effective torsional damper. If you look at the Pulleys on some of the imports there is no rubber to be found at all. that includes hondas."
