I was actually wondering the same thing just for a more comfortable driving position. The JDM seats aren't in the budget right now, but I can't seem to find any information.

1) Take the seats out
2) Sit on floor
3) Give me your seats

you won't gain much by doing that.

you're better off using a race bucket

Not always

Have a good race/fab shop build a set, you wont have any problems.

Yes, for a DC2R they should fit recaro's.

I've ordered myself a set here in Oz, 2nd hand. They were from an ITR

No, the sparco base mount got promptly thrown in the trash, and I had piper motorsport build a seat mount.

If it was the old base it was garbage before you even decided to toss it. I tried to give one away for free at Expo3 and several events afterwards. It's the most flimsy piece of crap.

Any pics of the Piper seat mount? And does it include sliders?

Dont have any pics..... yes it includes a sparco slider welded to the base, and modified (i.e. cut down) sparco sidemount brackets to bolt the seat to.

I think it was about $225 to have it made, not including the cost of the sidemount brackets.

Yeah, I'm having the same problem with the sparco mounts as well. They sit way to high, but i've looked at them a bunch of different times and don't understand how the seat can get any lower. The sparco mounts are already flat as it is.

You can get them much, much lower. The sparco parts werent designed to minimize height, thats for damn sure.
