Default LS/Vtec New to Honda Build Up

This is my first honda build and I have decided to go all motor on this one. Just a little background. My last project was a Stage 2 Turbo Audi A4, and after about 9000 miles of driving the timing belt tensioner FAILED end of story haha. SO i've decided to try out the Honda market because of its history of reliablity, and also to show the local rice heads how it should be done lol. This is my current build

1990 CRX
B16 Head
B18A block
Golden Eagle Rods
CTR .25 over Pistons
Skunk2 Stage 2 cams and Valvesprings
Titanium Retainers
AEM Cam Gears
AEM Fuel Rail

I'm planning on running ITBs with a stage 2 clutch, slightly lightened flywheel, and lsd. Also does anyone object to using a stock crank if i have it balanced and polished? Also suggestions on injector size? I already have a wideband and an P28 ecu with the ODB-1 to ODB-0 conversion plug socketed and a GSR Basemap with about 3% more fuel until i tune. Running hasport axles and linkage. Also this is not currently a daily driver and i at this point don't intend it to be but it may at some point.

the 89mm crank should be just fine. as for the injectors, alot of people get away with the stock 240cc injectors but most upgrade to 310's or the prelude 270's(or was it 290cc?).

if you search on this board, you'll see that a couple of guys are making around 200whp with stock 240cc injectors but its like runnign on 100% duty cycle.

OBD 1 Preludes are peak and hold, and are 345cc
OBD 2's are saturated and 290cc

The OBD1s work great for my NA LSVTEC

stock ITR fuel injectors should work fine....310 is overkill, my lsvtec is 12:1 and my tuner says to NOT change the injectors. I see you went to big cams...you might consider 310's.

balance crank, polish if you want, I did. It's minimal, you might was well.

GSR/ITR water pump and oil pump NEW! don't skimp on that.

ITR injectors are the same 240cc as any other b-series injector. 310cc is in no way overkill you just have lower duty cycle. It has been proven many times that as long as you tune properly to compensate for the bigger injector you are good. I would rather have the extra fuel available and the lower duty cycle then run the stockers 100%

honda reppin'

what did you do with your a4 by the way?

http://www.rceng.com/technical.htm
for the formula on how to calculate injector flow rates
numbers to plug in:

BSFC = .45
Fuel Pressure = (whatever your car is at) honda spec is 36-44 psi
Duty Cycle = .80
number of injectors= DUH
desired hp = i would guess about 210bhp 220+ w/ itb's

fyi, honda cranks are one of the strongest from the factory, i wouldnt worry unless your pushing 15psi or more

b20vtec with 12.5 cp with 310's works great.. alittle on the rich side.. but it needs a better tune

new injectors are unecessary for your build. not only that but ibs are overkill to say the least. spend the money on tuning and headwork. even a modified gsr mani wouldnt be a bad idea. That is what i plan on using for my street motor when i decide to start building it. great low end tq and when the secondaries open it really starts to make some power.
