I am installing Ground control and Kyb on my 2000 civic. I found good information form here

Now I got only one question, that guys used those black rings that shown on that picture. Do I need them? if yes where can I get it?
Also anything else I should know before I start working on it tomorrow.

If you can, try to get a hold of an impact wrench. The bolt on the bottom of the strut on the lower control arm in the rear can be a bitch. I stripped the head clean off of mine and had to drill it out.

Sell the ground controls and buy some quality drop springs. Sleeve style coilovers cause mad ride harshness without comparable performance. Make sure you have plenty of beer to help with the frustration of pulling the suspension apart. Also make sure you have other transportation for the next week just incase you break a suspension bolt. Since the dealer rarely has any in stock.. Otherwise a spring compressor is nice but not 100% needed. Air power is very very nice but not a must. It will only cut the time spent on this project in half at least..

Knowing that a friend had recently done a 5-lug swap, he had his old rear LCAs sitting around collecting dust - so I picked up those. Knowing how much of a pain that LCA-strut bolt can be, I purchased two of those from the dealer as well. I went ahead and doused them in PB Blaster a time or two for a few days prior to the job.

When I went to loosen them (IR 2131), they did budge free but the ribs on the bolt had twisted from being rusted to the bushing. So I'm glad I purchased new bolts. I ended up not having to use the other LCAs, but I had them just in case.

Not sure about your black rings as I installed my GCs on Koni Reds.

And make sure to loosen ALL bolts that go through bushings - you have to reset the 0 point for where they naturally rest after you've lowered the car.

the black o rings on the the strut, you do need those it keeps the coilover part from moving around on the strut. Try to get it on a lift, it makes it so much easier.

Sleeve coilovers suck. Ground Control's are okay, but im about to sell mine myself and just get a good spring/shock setup. **** I haven't adjusted them in 3 years anyway lol.

Take your time and get it done right. Make sure you cut your bumpstops 1/2 off. Your rear AGX probably come with black bumpstops on them, Cut those in half too.
