Default need some help with my b20A JDM.

I just recently got a b20a and I'm thinking of going b20vtec with a b16 head... I don't know what I need to do for that setup.. any suggestions..or comments on what I need to buy or do to splice the b20 and b16 head together??.

Are we talking about the 160HP, DOHC motor used in 1986-1989 Accords? If so, little is known about this motor. I am not sure you can just bolt on a VTEC head. You are kind of on your own here.

Dude crv's came with b20B's and b20z's. The b20z has a little higher compression because its got diffrent pistons. If you have any kinda B20aXX?? thats not out of a CRV. You cant just pull out BS engine codes and thorw letter after them. Anyway i am sure you could do like 5 minutes of searching to find out what needs to be done. Also remember the ECU plays a part in this Vtec your looking for......

bought the motor from password:JDM and the code on the motor is b20a .. I didn't know where the hell the motor was from so I guessed it was from a 2000 crv because it didn't look too beat up... I think its really from a 1987 Right hand drive CRv... can't be from anywhere else because the intake manifold is too large to be from any other honda. unless honda likes to prop up hoods on preludes. **** if i know.. the motor is from japan for sure because there is no number preceding the letter.

B20A's were found in the EDM and JDM CA-Accords from about 1986-1989, and the BA-Preludes from around the same time. They are NOTHING like the "normal" B-series engines. Also, in the Preludes the engine were tilted/slanted towards the rear; that can explain the huge IM; the Accords had the engine tilted forward (different block and mounts, but still called a "B20A"). And I was under the impression that CR-V's were made from the late 90's sometime.
