Default my radio doesnt work when i turn on my lights

for some reason my radio doesnt work when i turn on my headlights or parking lights? any idea what it could be?TIA

lol, thats some what the same problem my friends cars having...lol, his wont work unless his lights are on.

id say look into the wiring....maybe somethings grounding out

is there an aftermarket radio in the car? if there is make sure the orange wire isn't connected....that could be causing probs.

its with a stock radio. i turn on the radio. then i turn on my lights the radio turns off.

i would try a different radio.....it sounds like there is a problem with the radio. If u had a multimeter u could tell if it was loosing voltage on certain wires.

does it reset the clock on the radio? It's the difference between cutting the power all together or cutting power to the acc.

there's a wire that dims or turns on the radio's lights when you turn the car's headlights on. that wire is most likely your problem. i'm guessing it's hooked up in the wrong place.

problem solved. it was the radio. changed it out and its all good. thanx guys
