Type r seats!
I think the difference is just the fabric. Leather and Alacantara(however you spell it) have two totally different feels. As for the cushions underneath the fabric all the part number are the same, so I'm figuring that they are indeed the same.

being that I've had both the GS-R and the ITR I would say the seats are acutally different. It may be that the GS-R was older and maybe more worn in but the side bolsters on the ITR seats seem to wrap around more than the GS-R seats.

i dont know either, but were you testing with brand new seats for comparison? maybee the gsr seats were used less or by a lighter person.
My friends ITR seat felt softer than mine, but he has alot more miles on it.

Correct.
They have a harder, stiffer feel like the civic seats. The R seats have different fabric in the center to allow the seats to breath, thus IMO feel more cushioned to accomidate your ***!
To go along with what someone else said, I have the seats in my gsr and they do seem a little lower and the side bolsters (Both side and bottom) are defintely thinner and seem to wrap around a hair more than the gsr's.
