I can't be the only one who's getting back pains from the factory gsr seats. I'm not tall about 5.8 and I sit up so I can heal toe. I'm thinking a seat change is in order.

Are you talking about the leather seats? I used to get back pains, just turn down the lumbar support, I did and the pain went away.

 

Yeah it's the leather seats, and I've been in a civic and the seats were fine

 

I Love integra seats, the leather one's aren't as comfortable. But civic seats SUCK!!!! It you want to change it up I've always put Prelude(92-96) In my civics you could try those in your integra..... They sit really low though if you don't like that sort of thing, just FYI.....

 

I agree with above. Civic seats (EJ1, EJ7) weren't the greatest and the leathers in my GSR are much better. I commute and sit in the car about 1-2 hours a day and I have zero complaints. Six hour trips, my butt starts to get a little numb, but haven't been in a car where that hasn't happened.

I think maybe some back exercises or stretches might be helpful.

 

had my gsr leather seats for years now and no pain. maybe you should stretch more ahaha or do yoga for stress relief ahaha...

Their are alot of diff things that can cause yourself back pains. Back issue w/ yourself, the back support of the seat itself. Worn down foam. My sug would be find a seat your comfortable in that will swap into the integra and see if you can find someone to trade you.

Either that or shove a pillow behind your back. Change your seat setting around to. My racing seat was cause me back pain so i had to change it position around a bit until i found a comfortable position.

 

it it your lower back upper back? i have gsr cloth seats and they where hurting my back big time just trun the lever on the right and adjust to seats lumbar helped me out alot if you back still hurts take the seta out buy a really small couch and slap that baby in IVE SEEN THIS DONE!

 

Yes you are. I'm 5'8" (like you), I live in Chicago (like you), I'm probably older than you, and I don't get any back pains from the factory GS-R seats. But I've only been using mine for 200,000 miles so I'm just breaking them in.

 

Yeah I love my seats (but I'm 6'1"). If you aren't comfy try the lumbar adjustment.

 

i have a pillow to support my back and it helps a lot

 

the cloth seats do seem more comfy than leather. now i'm on corbeau CR1's which are a good deal more supportive than the factory seats. jdm recaros are probably your best bet at a real ortho designed seat. recaro is famous for making seats that fit your spine near perfect.

 

My seats in my GSR are pretty uncomfortable. I'm 5'4" so I'm sure some of it is just the position I have to sit in the reach the clutch and not be on top of the steering wheel, but they still feel rock hard, especially compared to my seats in my S2000 or the ones I had in my Miata. There's definitely some Recaros in my future.

I commute 50 miles each day. GSR seats kill my back after about 60 minutes in stop and go traffic. You aren't alone.

 

No complaints, gsr seats are comfortable for me

 

im 6,3 and have had no problems with my cloth gsr seats i luv them .. the stock seats in my other car (97 civic ex) sucks the bottom of them feels like a sofa cushin

 

The 92-96 prelude seats are perfect. I had GSR seats before them and i didn't like them at all, switched to the prelude and I'm never going back.
