Default Spoon Stroker Kit

Will I be able to run a spoon B16b stroker kit on a B16a? Will the crankshaft and conrods fit into my engine?

hi there dave,

it's depent what kind of stroker kit u wanna use. as far as i know, b16a block can be fitted with 1.9 liter destroker kit.

correct my if im wrong guys ?

Nope, The B16A has a lower deck height than the B16B...Actually the B16B and B18C1/5 blocks are the same..Just the B16B crank is destroked. The spoon stroker kit is for a B16B. So, if you run this kit in your B16A block, your pistons will ram the bottom of the cylinder head. I studyed this kit when I was building my all motor B16A..where I realized it will not work. Mike

order a jun kit cheaper will fit and cosworth made pistons mmmmmmm
crower and toda also make awesome kits.

Yea the pistons will poke out of the block too far.
Go for the techedge kit that uses a ls crank and custom rods.

But you could always sleeve the b16 and do 84mm and have a 1.8 liter.
I think that would be best and you'd keepthe awesome rod/stroke ratio... local guy has it here and hits close to 200whp.
