B20B swap, DO you have to change the crank pulley??? please help ASAP!
Im doing a b20b swap into my 88 crx si and I was told that I would have to change my crank pulley to a smaller b18 or b16 pulley, Is this required? if so which kind would I need, SOme one else told me that the b18 pulley would mess my crank up. please help asap with any info.
The b18 pulley will not mess your crank up.
It would be wise to change to a smaller crank pulley, specially if you are not running a/c or power steering.

But is it required to actually do the swap? because I'm supposed to have my crx out of the garage it's at in a couple of days and I can't wait for shipping on a pulley. what I want to do is put it in now as is and drive it to my house and then replace the pulley later on. I understand that it would be wise to change it but would it be neccasarry?
I don't see why it would be, but I'm not 100% sure because I never had a b20 pulley in my hand. But I would think its pretty much the same as the b18 or b16.

The only possible issue with using the B20 crank pulley might be fitment. It is quite a bit bigger than even a B18B crank pulley. There might not be sufficient clearance for it to fit. But this is just a maybe.
