this may be a stupid question but i need to drive my car to an exhasut shop with an open header so i can get a test pipe made to fit...but i dont want to melt my shifter bushings, does anyone thing that could happen?

 

na my friend witha gsr swaped 94 ex ran around for a bit with open headers didnt harm anything. if ur still not sure dont go around with a lead foot take it easy.

 

well yeah i wont be revvin two high, vtec plus open header = me being deff

 

me and all my friend go open headers all day long cheap way to get more hp

 

never had any problems

 

run open header at the track all the time....made lots of passes

i bet u would havta run with ear plugs

 

yea running open header wont melt anything, its only hard on the valves but only when ran like that for an extended period of time... runnin to the exhaust shop should definitly be alright... ive made runs at the track with open header and no probs....
