Just bought an ACT clutch kit from Prostreet.

My question is, is there anything else i need to buy or have done while this install takes place?

I've been told to have my flywheel turned or resurfaced. Something of that nature.....

Just want to make sure everything is there and ready to go. The less down time, the more launch time

some grease if you dont have any
as for the flywheel its recommended for u to resurface them but i seen people skip it and be fine with it. unless u have a warped one

 

While doing a clutch install you can:

-Get a lighter flywheel for slightly quicker revs/ small amount of HP. I reccomend fidanza

- Replace the throwout bearing & pilot bearing (should come with the clutch kit)

- replace the rear main seal

.. then you should be good to go!

or even an exedy flywheel light but stronger.

As far as a flywheel. It's not a necessity and i don't think i wanna spend any more money than needed on the Dseries motor. Unless after it goes, i decide to build it rather than go 2cams.
I'd love a lightened flywheel, but that clutch set me back a bit of cash already!lol

 

imo it wasnt worth my $250 for a lighter flywheel
it felt the same as my stock b16a one
it doesnt gain you hp but free up some probably nothing noticable
