Default gonna go drag tomarorw- tips on launchin BFG 225's

setup -

pig 4 door integra leather interior n everything

15 psi GT2871R. approx 350 WHP 290 torque i'd say .

omnipower suspension

traction bar

BFG 225-50R15's

gator stage 2-3 axles

98 ITR LSD

im scared to launch the **** out of my car because the last time i launched it i killed a 96 ITR LSD off the launch on 205-50-16 azenis 615's

i heard the 96 ITR LSD is weak and stuck a 98 in there.

tomarrow im goin drag racing. ive read its better to launch high than too low. what tips can you guys give me on launching drag radials

im not much of a drag racer. more into autoX and road racing myself but i like dragging too but i dont do too much of it at the track or on the street.

ive heard gators have problem snapping

what i've learned so far is

- launch high ? better to spin the tires than to break axles ?

- preload the clutch no popping

- slip clutch.

whatever you guys can give me or elaborate on or teach me what works best for you. thanks

i slip my clutch. the more air you let out of the tires the better they hook. i run my tires at 10psi and i get a little wheel spin at the top of first(1.95 60') maybe start out at 13-15 psi in the tires and keep letting air out till they hook to your likeing. good luck

I asked that same thing a few months ago. I guess when there isn't a load on the motor it is fine.

i pulled a 1.8 60' on these tires, with 260whp

2nd gear burn out till there really smoken, (in the water)
then pull up 3' then launch it like ur really u would in the 1/4,
this really gets em sticky, also u will have a good feel for what its gonna do off the line,i was launching @ like 5500rpm
