What wire harness can I use for a b20b
Alright hear how it goes I have a jdm b20b motor that im bout to drop into my 99 ex....I need to know what wire harness will match up to the one inside the car....All my parts i have bought are all obd1....what wire harness should i get....i dont really want to cut plugs off and wire it myself...any info would help..thanks
A 94 LS harness will do fine an than if u want to put a v-tec head on it's real easy to mod the ls harness U said all ur parts are obd1 what ECU do u have or have you not gotten one yet?
An easier way you could do the swap is to buy the hasport obd2 to obd1 ecu converter thing but there is going to be cutting an splicing of wires no matter how u do it buying that hasport thing would be ur best bet the b20b into a 99 ex should be fairly easy cause ur already wired for v-tech
The 93 ex question is a much easir one to answer your already obd1 an the computer u have in ur car will support a b series but I would recomend an upgrade to a p30 or a p28 I'm currently have a 95 dx that I swapped a B18c1 into I added the v-tech wires the the ecu an changed my ecu to a p30 for daily driving and a skunk2 p28 when at the track as long as u have the proper mounts you can make the wiring harness in your car work with a little know how.
This is to both of you if you don't know anything about wiring I'd suggest takeing your car to a shop an have them do the wiring for you all you will do is create a huge head ache for yourself. I'm not saying I know everything there is to know about wiring but I've done the b18c1 swap on my own and i'm a 1st year Electrical Engineering student so I know some stuff about wiring If you know how to read a wiring schematic an u can solder you should be able to manage

i'm not sure if there b20b's or what but I heard the new CRV's got a b20-v-tec in them from the factory an they have a b20z I think that's the engine code that has higher compression than the b20b but yeah if you get a b20 no matter which one it is out of a 96 or newer cr-v than it's OBD2
