Default ls motor.....all motor or boost?????

i have a eg hatch and im getting a ls motor from a friend for next to nothing. it needs rods and pistons and i don't know if i want to boost it or go all motor. i think it more bang for buck is boost but all motor ls would be cool too.

Im assuming you want opinions?...

Its more of a personal preference if its just a personal car.
If it were a race car, you'd need to worry about rules and regulations etc. etc. So I'd say decide what you want to do with it and go from there.
Personally, Im an NA man myself. Nothing like a high-compression LSvtec to spice things up. Just my .02.

edit- a tubo LS is nothing to shake a stick at either (gotta cover my ***, lots of LS turbo guys around here )

Think of boost as the easy way of going fast. my turbo LS ran a 13.4, and i only spent a grand piecing it together.

i would suggest not doing an ls vtec because thats mostly just going to be a wiring nightmare and its just asking for problems when you make a frankenstein setup. it would be far better if you boosted that ls motor epesically since it already has low compression and decent torque figures.... just my advice..

Nope, you would be the first person to do it.

its all personal preference...

one friend of mine has a LS turbo in a eg hatch that is sick...ran an 11.8 1/4mil & dyno @ 260hp & 214ft/lbs

one of my other friends is doing a all motor LS in a EK. its not running yet but with all the stuff done to it its gonna be wound pretty tight..around 12:1 compression...i think once its up & running he is going to be selling it.

it all depends on what you wanna do, what you like & how much time & effort you wanna put into it.
