Does a NEW Fuel pump make all the difference?
I'm about to purchase a new fuel pump cause mine is starting to go. I have a 1989 Civic Si with the JDM DOHC ZC, 4-2-1 Genies, CAI, 2" freeflow exhaust, etc.
Would a 92-95 Civic Si fuel pump make any huge difference @ 190 gph?? I know it needs custom fabbin.

if ur running lean , consider a fuel regulator first..then a fuel pump..but if u do get a hi flow pump , do get a fuel regulator anyway to control the extra fuel ull be getting
Thanks guys. I do need one soon. I'm getting a test done to find out what the pressure is @ now.
My friend Scott the Honda Technician capped off the FPR so its running at full PSI to blow the f*cker up!! kiddin

here are some fuel pumps: http://www.autoperformanceengineering.com/
i have never got them, but i am thinking about it. how did you know that your fuel pump was bad. did you just test the psi of the fuel?

you can raise the fuel preesure all you want, but the stock injectors will always be holding you back...I would rather have slightly larger injecotrs and low fuel pressure than sotck injecotors and high fue pressures

Dude, I never even thought bout that. My ZC injectors I think are the same size as the USDM sohc ones I think.
I might upgrade to the GS-R injectors... hmmm....

I have dohc zc with ,genie header, 2 1/4 exhaust,
I put in a 95 GSR fuel pump and it made no diff in performance.
like everone else said unless your car is running lean or your pressure is low there is no point, check your plugs to make sure.Don't guess because there is no point in dropping that bigass gas tank if something else is causing your stalling.
and no you don't need bigger inj if you are running lean it won't be because of you inj(unless they are dirty or screwed)

Actually, all B-motors (except the Type R) and D motors use 240cc injectors. I wish they used 290cc injectors. As far as the fuel pump, it will only help to replace it if (1) it is bad to the point that it can't pump enough fuel, and/or (2) you have swapped in quite a bit of power. The second criteria is not alikely a problem with just a ZC. But the first could be. Especially on high mileage cars. You might want to replace it anyway, as a failed fuel pump tends to strand you without warning. As for trying to get the motor more fuel, an adjustable FPR is a cheap, simple solution.
welcome to honda-tech storminmatt, i remeber you from the crx resource you helped me out of a few jams from what i remember. good to see you here
