OBD2
I have a 99 honda civic SI and am new to the tuner world ..... when i got it the car the cat was fine but a few days later it was shot... so i take it to my local mechanice and he tells me i need an OBD2 compatable cat and i cannot get a highflow cat or i will not pass emissions. I was wondering if this was totaly true or did i get screwed
Did you throw a Check Engine Light for a failed cat??
There are more options now for OBD2 aftermarket cats. Most replacement cats fit 96+ cars but aren't legal in California.

My only suggestion is to call Carsound or Catco, both available on eBay for cheap. Tell them your situation, and they will have solution for you. Either way, it won't be that expensive.
