fuel and spark no start
ctr motor in my eg has fuel pressure and and spark, why would it not start , also no oil pressure using gsr pickup, b20 oil case with ctr pump gear? cranks over fine only 60% to 80% on a compresion test.
u need fuel spark and TIMING. check ur plugs and wires/timing for dumb mistakes. I had my **** backward the other day felt like an ******* when I figured what it was.
Check the clearance between the bottom of the oil pan and the pick-up, if the clearance is too small can contribute to no/low oil pressure.
Just a bump though_

i pluged in my cx harness back in to see if i could even get it to start now it doesnt even crank just a humming noise behind the dash everything is plugged correct ?
The humming noise is your fuel pump. Just out of curiosity do you have proper grounding from the engine to the chassi of the car. If not it will try to turn over but wont start.

I put a B20 in my friend's 2k civic a few weeks ago and had the same problem....fuel and spark, no cranking going on! Believe it or not it was the distributor..was sending spark, but would not crank the car! Changed the distributor, and walla! FIRE. may work for you too, just something else you could check, GL.

He just said that hel only made 60 - 80% on a compression test and all you think of is timing? You are not going to be able to fire that engine with a huge compression leak.
