White smoke?!?!?!? wtf?

Default White smoke?!?!?!? wtf?

ok so i just swaped a B16A into my ek dx and when i get on it, it expells white smoke from the exaust. when im shifting, it expells a cloud between gears. also when im at low rpms it sortof bogs down and putts a little bit. i don't know what is wrong. somebody please help me out.

White = Coolent. Time for a compression test bro. Autozone rents them out for 39 bux. But Im going to put money down on blowin headgasket

That's true... it's called fogging oil. Wait a couple days to see if it clears up. If not, my money is also on a blown head gasket.

well ive been running it for a while. it seems like it drives fine except sometimes at 2700 when it bogs down and puts a little. other than that its running fine. should i be worried?

I'm going to say yes. Check your coolant level when it's off... also look in there for any oil or sludge. You can also remove the oil cap and look in there... if it's bad enough you'll see a whiteish sludge in there from coolant mixing with oil.

OK, quick question....when you did your swap, did you make sure you drained all the oil from the motor before you put in the new motor oil?? cause i know a friend who made that mistake.....if so drain the oil and put in new oil and see if it still does the same...

If thats not the case then iam guess'n your head gasket....

Yes, stop driving. If the coolant starts to mix with the oil, it reduces its lubrication power. Basically, you'll cook your cylinder walls and bearings.

well i checked the coolant and it doenst seem to be disappearing. plus its just a little white smoke. i suppose its possible thats its a head gasket leak but is there anything else it could be before i spend the $ on a new head gasket

how much does labor ususally cost to put it in or could i just do it myself? if so then how would i do it.

labor would prob be like 4-500. if u have any knowledge on cars u can do it in a half of day. get a hemls and friends
